Benjamin Doherty is a composer for film, TV and theatre. He holds a 1st Class Honours degree in Creative Music Production graduating from Oxford Brookes University in 2020. Recently he composed the score for the feature film, I’ve Seen All I Need To See, an intimate neo-noir drama that deals with grief, which premiered and won Grand Jury Best Feature at Flickers Rhode Island Film Festival.

He has composed scores for films that have been supported by institutes such as the BFI, Sundance Institute and Sky Arts. His work has been selected at BAFTA and Academy Award qualifying festivals including: BFI Flare, Aesthetica, Cleveland Film Festival, deadCenter, Norwich Film festival, Austin Film Festival and Foyle Film Festival. His work has also featured  as part of the Sundance Indigenous Shorts Tour on the short “The Original Shareholder Experience”.

Other recent work includes the feature fiction film, Holy Joe, and the feature documentaries - Steel: The Blood Of Us and Forever 399.

Benjamin worked with Hasbro, composing the score for the official Dungeons & Dragons stage production “The Twenty Sided Tavern”, currently playing New York City and the Sydney Royal Opera House. Previous productions have gone on to perform sell out shows at Pittsburgh, Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Chicago.

As a composer, Benjamin always aspires to compose scores with a unique sound to each project. Inspired by minimalism, Benjamin likes to compose sparse and intimate scores that say more using less.
